Sunrise in Bryce Canyon National Park
These are some photos from a recent sisters trip to Utah. Â Ironically, we watched the sunrise from “Sunset Point” along the rim trail, about a mile south of the visitor center. As the name implies, this is a popular place to watch the sunset in Bryce, but since it offers views over the canyon to the east, it doubles as an incredible sunrise viewpoint. “Sunrise Point” is a short walk to the north along the Rim Trail, and provides equally stunning views.
Since it was late March, and the rim of Bryce Canyon sits at a surprisingly high elevation of over 8,000 feet, the canyon was still partially blanketed in snow and many trails throughout the park were closed. The rising sun reflecting off the snow-covered hoodos made for a spectacular scene.
