Welcome to Trails Unblazed!
There weren’t nearly enough travel blogs on the internet so we decided to throw our hat in the ring. We started this blog back in 2015 as a way to share our stories and photos with whomever cared to see and read them (most likely just our mothers). In the past few years, this blog has evolved from a collection of our personal travel stories, to more of a resource with what we hope to be genuinely useful information and guides to some our favorite destinations and hiking trails.
We aren’t nearly as cool and audacious (irresponsible?) as the bloggers who quit their jobs to travel the world, so with full-time jobs and real life obligations, many of our trips end up lasting little more than a weekend. Regardless, we hope whoever reads this can get some ideas for future vacations, weekend getaways, hikes or day trips.
And this is our trusted companion, Baxter…

I love this and will be reading your blog posts often. I joined this travel blog thing not too long ago also. So many out there and my wanderlust has really increased from reading others’ posts. Alas, my husband and I both have full-time jobs and 3 kids so our trips are short and mostly state-side also. Thanks for the inspiration!
